I’m just a girl, standing in front of her kids, asking them to put down the iPad.
Actually, I’m Cynthia Dvorak, a Colorado mom, reading all the research about kids, play, and tech, so that you don’t have to.
A UCLA-trained writer and stay-at-home mom, I’m obsessed with getting my children outside more. I truly believe that we need to return to the play-based childhood of the past, and get rid of the phone-based childhood that is increasing this generation’s depression, anxiety, and overall inability to be functioning humans.
In the digital age, it can be challenging to raise balanced, thriving kids. But at Screen Less Play More, we believe that it is possible to raise children who are engaged in the real world, connected to their families, and free from the harmful effects of excessive screen time.
Our mission is to provide parents with the resources and support they need to help their children grow up healthy and happy.
